TO SEE HIS FACE

My soul is grieved 

By all I see

A world so bound by sin.

Evil forces growing stronger

Knowing they don’t have much longer

Doing everything they can to win.

Hearts deceived by Satan’s wiles

Unaware they’ve been beguiled

Blinded to their need of God’s redemption.

Living life with no control

No respect for life or souls

Justifying all their hearts imagine.

Rejecting all that’s good and true

Persuading others to pursue

The broad road to eternity in hell.

Even those who make the claim

To follow God in Jesus name

Have fallen under Satan’s evil spell.

“Pastors” teach to itching ears

Affirming what they want to hear

Using God’s own word to spread their lies.

Little do they comprehend

Before our Lord you can’t pretend

No thought or motive hidden from His eyes.

But in the dark my heart is stilled

God’s prophecies will be fulfilled

Jesus will be coming soon as King.

All creation will rejoice 

All His saints as one great voice

Praising their dear Savior as they sing.

Oh how blessed to see His face

Surrounded by His love and grace

Nevermore to know the shame of sin.

A future full of brand new things

To serve and worship Christ my King

I can’t wait this new life to begin!

Come Lord Jesus!
