A PSALM TO THE FATHER (Inspired by Psalm 27)

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? No one, My Father, because You are near.

The darkness of evil continues to spread, filling Your children with sorrow and dread.

The world’s full of people deceived by their prince; their actions are selfish with wicked intent.

But Your presence within me gives me great peace, and I know that Your love will abound and not cease.

You told us to seek You with boldness and faith, to confidently ask for provision and grace.

So hear me, dear Father, my heart is so grieved as I think of the millions who do not believe.

Such a great sacrifice Your Son chose to make to redeem us from sin and to conquer the grave.

I know that He’s coming again soon to reign, to rule as our King and the world will be changed.

He gave us the signs that would mark the times to lift our eyes up with hope to the skies.

Give me patience, O Lord, as I eagerly wait to rejoice in Your presence and see Your dear face.

Until then, my Father, please help me, I pray, to follow Your will, Your word to obey.
